Speaking of an interesting city, I’d like to talk about Xiamen, aka, Amoy city. It’s a coastal city located in the southeast of China. And this tourist destination is a magnet for the people at home and abroad. I was born and raised in an inland city. So visiting a coastal city has always been on my bucket list. And last summer holiday, I finally got some time to go on a five-day trip there. To be honest, it was totally an interesting and intriguing city. The sea view, the seafood and the terrific seaside attractions were all brand new to me. During my stay there, what impressed me most was a long path that is built alongside the coast. It was about 15 kilometers long. And what’s interesting about it is that there are seashell-like pavilions where you can feel the soft breeze and enjoy the fantastic sea view. Especially during the sunset, The surface of the sea was full of sparkling hues and tints, which were definitely gorgeous. Another interesting thing about this place is the local specialties. I tried a variety of seafood that I have never tasted. You know, there was a big seafood market. And I could place my order from the seafood vendor. The food would be delivered to my table by a trolley. The mouthwatering seafood and the breathtaking sea view really went together.
