I have celebrated many important events in my life and l think one of the most memorable ones was my first birthday party in China, which happened in July 2013. I came to China in March 2013 and was hired to be apart-time English teacher. For the first several months in China, l wasn't happy at all. One was because as apart-time teacher, l used to go to work at 5. 30 PM. It sounds very stress free but it was extremely boring because l didn't know anyone in China and l had nothing to do for the whole day. Also, when you are a part-time employee, you don't have the chance to get to know all your colleagues and they don't see you as part of the company. Finally, my first apartment in China was really disgusting and it was in a 40-year-old building with no elevator and no cleaning services and didn't even have a toilet.
